We went to two birthday parties on Saturday. Which meant double the cake, cotton candy, pinata candy, etc. Then we went to church and the kids got lots of candy there too for some reason today. So, they’ve been on a kind of sugar high/melt down from the sugar crash this weekend.
So the logical thing to do tonight after dinner was to give them a scoop of ice cream with chocolate chips on it. Right? The following conversation happened between Kyle (my 4 year old) and I:
K: “The chocolate chips are going to melt!”
Me: “No they won’t. It’s on top of cold ice cream”.
K: “I know it’s going to melt. Because I’m a candy expert. I really am.”
Me: “What makes you a candy expert?”
K: “Because I’ve been having way too much candy lately.”
Yes kid. I will agree with you on that. Tomorrow, we are back to rationing candy in this house.
Boooooooo! Boring! 😉
I just love it when the “little minds” have brilliant things to say! 🙂
I know that I have had too much candy when my heart starts hammering my chest and I want water.
ha! Yep. That is a clue!
Also it is a day that ends in Y.
Could you kindly let Kyle know that I am in fact the candy expert and should he have any further questions you can send them my way. 😉
HA! OK. Will do….but he might want to fight you for the title.
