When it comes to our mental health, we could all use some extra help - so here are the tips, skills, and tricks I've learned from life and therapy.

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

“It’s up to you today to start making healthy choices. Not choices that are just healthy for your body, but healthy for your mind.” – Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

“It’s never overreacting to ask for what you want and need.” – Amy Poehler

“Promise me you’ll always remember – you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Christopher Robin from Winnie the Poohvia The Mighty

Mental health is an amazingly, hugely important topic. It’s something that needs to be destigmatized, talked about, and addressed. It needs attention. That way, we can all have better lives. Oh, and get the treatment, support, and help that we each need on a daily basis. And therapy – because we all need therapy at some point in our lives.
