I had a post planned for today. But instead, I took a cat-nap on the couch (which is very unlike me) and then woke up to hear about the tragedy in Boston. I was captivated because two of my good friends here in UT finished the race about 15 minutes before the explosion. Both are OK. But, by the time I got my butt down to the computer, all three of my kids were awake.
I don’t know about you, but it’s hard to get creative when little people are around. And, even harder when you know other people are suffering. The post I was going to write definitely would have required some creativity, so, it will have to wait.
This post, however, will require none.
I am simply going to share with you a conversation that took place between my husband and I that I found mildly humorous, and telling at the same time. I guess this is why you see couples that have been married 50 years and all they do is hold hands, smile, and keep their mouths shut.
Me (excited to tell my husband a story that happened to me that day): “Do you want the long version or the short version?”
JD: “The short version. And, can that always be my default answer?”
So glad I married a man with a sense of humor. Needless to say, I laughed, and then gave him the long version.
My husband interrupts me several times to ask me totally irrelevant questions when my stories are “too long”. By the time I stop to answer the second or third one, I usually clue in to what’s going on and just walk away. 🙂
Cute picture! She may have some talent there. 🙂
Ha! This made me laugh. Jared likes to hear the short versions too. And if I want to tell him about a dream I had, if it can’t be done in 2 sentences, then I can’t tell him. And if I attempt to tell him anyway, his eyes glaze over and his mind travels somewhere else. I don’t know why he doesn’t want to hear about my fascinating dreams!
stunning picture, future photographer there maybe?? xxxxxxxx
