What is there to say? We had a great Christmas. And for some reason, I ALWAYS get that song stuck in my head. The kids think it’s silly.
This year, I was happy to stay put. Although, as usual, I missed my family. A lot.
But, we had a quiet Christmas at home creating our own memories with our little family. I guess one thing I won’t forget is the fact that we got up at 5:30 am. I remember doing that to my parents. And, I KNEW that Kyle was going to get up crazy early this year because he was beyond excited. And, sure enough we got our start super early!
With three kids, there is no true quiet time. But, I think everyone got everything that wanted. At least I hope so. Because I’m not buying my kids anything ever again. Kidding.
My one wish for Christmas was that we would all be healthy. I’ve been having serious anxiety issues lately due to all the illness that is everywhere around me. But, that’s for another blog post.
I took very few pictures this year, but that’s good too. I usually take too many. And, then I look at them later and think, “What am I going to do with this?”
Avery’s dream this year was to have all things Cinderella. She said that she wanted everything to “get all ready” like Cinderella. That was achieved with the help of Santa and Santa’s biggest helper (aka-G-Mommy).
She also wanted a Flitter Fairy. Don’t get me started on THAT toy. Let’s just say, it lasted about a day.
Kyle’s biggest wish was GAK. Which he got. Along with lots of other cool toys. the biggest hit being the Transformer Rescue Bots fire truck. Santa is so smart.
He also became a Pirate on Christmas Day repeating, “Shiver me timbers!” while moving his arm…It was pretty funny.
And last but not least. Little Chandler. He, too, got lots of goodies. But, the thing I think he was most grateful for? To go back to bed and take a nap at 7:30 AM after being woken up way. too. early.
We are truly blessed. We have 3 beautiful children. Plenty of material possessions, but most of all, we are grateful for the birth of a loving Savior. Hope your Christmas was just as Merry and Bright.
