We’ve started collectively referring to the boys as “the boys”. They share a room now, are together quite a bit, and tend to be up to the same types of shenanigans. That’s mostly because little Chandler wants to do everything big brother is doing.
But, they are growing up way too fast for me. Especially little Chandler. His speech was something that had me worried for a while, but now it seems like he is saying a new word every single day. Good thing. He’s almost two. But, I suspect that he’ll be blabbing away in no time, and I will wish that he didn’t talk as much as he does. He has said the word “rope” when we were working on the swing. He says the word “fish” now appropriately, and he has learned to scream “Maaaama!” when he is not happy when I walk away from him in the grocery store to get something further down the aisle. I have to say, I love this little boy so much, and he is kind of the center of attention in this family right now. Even the kids scream, “CHANDLER!” with excitement when they see him in the morning.
Today, he was unusually quiet for a moment. I wondered where he had gone off to, and I found him in quite a naughty place. On my bed, watching TV, with a bowl of grapes. Tsk. Tsk.
I don’t know. It scares me how much this one has me wrapped around his finger. And, he knows it. Little stinker.
Then, there’s my Kyle. I really do love this kid. He kills me with his humor, and he started preschool this week. He loves it. LOVES it. I’m so glad. Because I love where he’s going, and I think his teacher is the sweetest little lady in the world, and I know this year is going to fly by and he will be in Kindergarten before I know it. How is that possible.
I took a few pictures of him on his first day. He was DYING to go to school and asked me about it almost every single day once Avery started.
This kid is getting too smart for his own good. We bought a bee trap recently because our pear tree is an attraction for them, and our yard is becoming overrun by bees. Kyle looked up at it and said, “Do you think Heavenly Father wants the bees to die in that trap?” and, “I bet I know why it kills them. Because the poison in there changes their brains!”
He is always keeping us laughing with saying things like, “Pizza makes me fearless!”
He asks good questions like, “Why are fireworks called fireWORKS?” I reply, “I don’t know.” and he says, “I know! I bet it’s because they are a lot of work to set up!”
He jumped out from behind the bed the other day and said, “Surprise!” I responded with, “Where did you come from?” Without missing a beat he said, “Disneyland.” Then he said, “No wait, I came from the mind.” I laughed, “The mind?” He responded with, “Yes. I stole all the gold.” I said, “Oh! You mean the mine.” He said, “Why do they call it the mine? Is it because someone lives there?” The questions never stop with this kid. But it is good entertainment.
This year is going to be a fun one with these two little boys. I get a little one on one time with Chandler, and lots of laugh from Kyle. What could be better?
They’re cute! 4 boys here!! And my youngest 2 are always amusing to say the least! 😀
